MAKGEOLLI AND SAKE,
PURELY QUEBEC.

Our Brewery

Having distinguished itself for the past six years on the brewing scene with a dozen medals at the Quebec and Canadian level, Vrooden brewery is now 100% dedicated to Asian rice wines. The second brewer of makgeolli in Canada and the first sake brewer in Quebec, we make our own nuruk and koji for the brewing of our makgeolli and sake.

We also use brewing methods that are faithful to the millennial traditions of these alcohols.

Our sakes

With more than 2500 years of history, sake arrived almost at the same time as the first Chinese rice plants in Japan. It was not until 689 that the first official brewery was opened at the imperial court. Between the 12th and 14th centuries, the monks refined modern brewing techniques. Since then, it has steadily increased in popularity.
