The Schwarzbier, or “black beer” in German is a lager beer which originated from southeast Germany in the mid-16th century. Unlike Stout and Porter, the Schwarzbier is never harsh, toasty or acrid. Its elegance and surprising balance is worth discovering.
5% alc./vol IBU 25. Mild, malty, slightly bitter beer with subtle notes of caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Sustained finale with a slight boble hops flavor.
